He shared the stage with his father in a concert at the Palacio de Los Deportes in 1993, and he continued there for a season in Mexico City at the Teatro Blanquita.

He issued the album Que Seas Muy Feliz in 1995. His first international hit was “Como Quien Pierde Una Estrella.” On radio and television programs, it received extensive promotion.

His 1996 album Muy Dentro de Mi Corazón was an immediate hit. Popular songs in Mexico and other Latin American nations include “Moo Negro,” “Nube Viajera,” and “Abrazame.”

Fernández returned to ranchera music in 1999 with the release of the CD Mi Verdad. At the 42nd Grammy Awards, Mi Verdad was up for Best Mexican-American Performance.

Sony Music Controversy

Alejandro Fernández filed a lawsuit against Sony Music because the company attempted to put out a record.

The record included some of his unheard music after their agreement with him had terminated.

Approximately 6,000 copies of the album were taken by federal police who descended on the Sony building in Mexico City.
