Will Toledo is a well-known Rock Singer.  He is perhaps known best for being the founding member of the indie rock band Car Seat Headrest.

Will Toledo grew up in Leesburg, Virginia. There he learned about music theory while playing in the student symphony band in junior high and high school.

He majored in English in college but was fascinated with music. Will embraced an eclectic variety of artists from Radiohead, Modest Mouse, and R.E.M. to Animal Collective and Swans.

He began writing songs on his computer, using its built-in microphone and the recording software that was bundled with the machine.

While Toledo’s recording setup became more advanced with time, he continued to prefer simpler solutions to recording problems. His project became known as Car Seat Headrest when Toledo found he was more comfortable recording vocals in his car than in his home.

Early Life of Will Toledo

Will Toledo was born in the USA, on 23 August 1992 and as of 2023, he is 31 years old. His zodiac sign is Virgo, his ethnicity is Mexican, and he holds American nationality.

Will was raised an only child in the US by his father, who is the owner of a small record store. His mother was working for a music recording company.

He was motivated by his parents to pursue a career as a musician. There was always music playing at his home such as The Beach Boys and The Beatles, who significantly influenced his style.

Will grew up also playing soccer, and he played for both his elementary and high schools teams. He also became interested in acting, and was a member of his high school’s drama club.

Eventually he chose to focus on singing rather than on acting.

Upon matriculation in 2010, he started recording his songs with some difficulty in the back seat of a car.  This helped him come up with the name for his band.

However, upon the release of their compilation album “Teens of Style”, Jacob left the band as he enrolled at medical school, and Ethan Ives took his place. On 20 May 2016, the boys’ new album “Teens of Denial” came out, receiving only positive reviews.

Two years later in December 2018, the boys released several new tracks, such as “Weightlifters”, “Hollywood” and “You Know There’s Someone Out There” – all three songs were featured in their June 2019album “Commit Yourself Completely” released.
