Who is Big Meech?

Big Meech was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in June 1968. He and his brother Terry built a vast drug empire that controlled multi-kilogram cocaine distribution in multiple states.

Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, and Tennessee were among the states that participated.

However, after a rupture between the brothers in 2001, Terry moved to Los Angeles to operate his own business.

He grew up in the same house as his brother and sister. He said that neither of his parents drank or had problems with alcohol.

They were poor and reliant on food stamps or other forms of government help and dressed in the same clothes the entire time.

They had pits in their shoes and needed to withdraw money quickly or risk being thrown out on the streets.

Following that, he and his brother took to the streets and began trafficking cocaine. He and his brother created their own Black Mafia Family after a 20-year interval.

A couple of his former gang members snitched on him and also his deeds caught up with him. The Black Mafia family was running a $270 million network of drug cartels in the United States.

They had over 500 employers working under him. Some of the cities the Black Mafia Family operated were Alabama, Miami, Detroit, Los Angeles, and others.

However, in 2005 the two brothers were arrested and thrown into jail for 30 years. Omari McCree and William Marshall Snitched On Big Meech.

McCree allegedly informed the feds that Big Meech supplied him with cocaine, him. Omari revealed information on Big Meech’s operation, according to rapper Blue Davinci.

“He was going to disclose information that would result in his term being reduced,” Blue explained. After the brothers’ feud, Sosa established communication between Meech and Southwest.

“It was Marshall’s choice to collaborate with the government that ultimately pushed the Flenory’s hand in coping pleas on the morning their trial was set to begin in November 2007”.

No! Terry Lee Flenory did not snitch on his brother Big Meech. According to internet sources, William Marshall and Omari McCree were the individuals that allegedly snitched on Big Meech.

Terry and Meech were sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2005 for money laundering and drug trafficking.

However, the former gangster was released from prison in 2020 due to ongoing health concerns and COVID-19.

The Black Mafia family

The black Mafia family was founded by Demetrius Flenory aka Big Meech and his brother, Terry also known as Southwest T Flenory.

They created the organization in 1989 after they decided to extend their drug empire across other countries in the United States.

Big Meech was a drug trafficker born on June 21st, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan, United States of America, and grew up alongside two siblings.

Some of the family members were involved in drug and other illegal dealings.

Their family wasn’t doing well in finance as they suffer hence Big Meech and her brother, Southwest T Flenory decided to go on the street at the age of 20 to sell drugs to survive which led to them forming the Black Mafia family after years of selling drugs.

What Is BMF?

Demetrius Flenory, also known as “Big Meech” Flenory, and Terry Flenory, also known as “Southwest T’ Flenory, founded the Black Mafia Family in 1989.

With their drug supply from LA and direct connections to Mexican criminal organizations, the Black Mafia Family established cocaine trafficking operations across the United States in 2000.

Black Mafia, led by Demetrius Flenory, was a large hip-hop music corporation called BMF Entertainment in the early 2000s, which laundered profits from cocaine shipments.

BMF Entertainment was a producer for some well-known hip-hop artists.

They were found guilty in the year 2005.

Big Meech is set for release in 2028

Out of everyone imprisoned for their participation in BMF, only Big Meech and Fleming’ Ill’ Daniels remain incarcerated.

Meech’s sentence was reduced from 360 months to 324 months following a review of sentencing guidelines.

His lawyer, Brittany Barnett, wrote in a court filing that Meech deserved a break due to the non-violent nature of his crimes and his commitment to rehabilitation.

Before that ruling, Meech’s attempts to get his sentence reduced had failed. In February 2021, he argued that he qualified for early release because he risked dying from the coronavirus while in prison.

Big Meech had support from politicians and celebrities, but authorities denied him early release.

Big Meech has made some drastic changes while in prison. He’s earned his GED, completed classes in parenting, money management, and health awareness, and changed his name to Big Herm.

He’s also rebranded BMF into a community-building organization dubbed ‘Building More Families.’
