Amrapali Kata was born on 4 November 1982 in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. Her age is 38 years as of 2020. Her father, Venkat Reddy Kata was a professor at the Andhra University. And Amrapali’s mother, Padmavathi is a homemaker. She has also a sister who works at the Revenue Department of Karnataka. Amrapali grew up in Andhra Pradesh and has spent most of her childhood there.
Education of Amrapali Kata
Amrapali Kata started her elementary schooling at Sai Satya Mandir School, Vishakhapatnam. Her teachers say that she was very studious and intelligent from her early times. Even, Amrapali had been a scholar student from her schooling days.
She later enrolled in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Madras) to pursue her B. Tech education. Amrapali then enrolled in the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, India to earn an MBA Degree (PGDM). Amrapali has also earned a Master in Business Administration (M.B.L.) Degree from National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
After being qualified, she shortly joined ABN AMRO as a junior relationship banker. She was working there normally and was earning a little salary there. But soon her mind was diverted towards civil services and especially becoming an IAS officer. She then quit her job and given her full time upon the preparation.

Now, Amrapali Kata was giving her full time and efforts upon her preparation. She learned several new things in the civil services field. She was studying for over 6 to 7 hours on daily basis. Amrapali had also created her own strategies for her preparation. Her day-night hard works and efforts made her the youngest lady to crack UPSC in 2010.
Amrapali succeeded to achieve 39th rank all over India. She scored a total of 1241 marks out of 2300. Her marks are the inspiration for the youngsters of the country.
Amrapali was first appointed as the Sub-Collector in 2013 and got a chance to serve the Vikarabad, Telangana. Shen then appointed as the director of the women and child welfare department. There she served between the period of 30 July 2014 to 10 October 2016.
Back in 2015, Amrapali became the Join Collector of Ranga Reddy District, Telangana. Later on, 11 October 2016, she appointed as the District Collector of Warangal Urban District, Telangana where she is still working.
